PURPOSE: Youth Communication (YC) will host an Open Mic Night for community members to share creative performances. This event is a unique opportunity to amplify youth voice, build community, reflect on the impact of YC, and inspire others to share their own stories and talents. The event is free of charge. It aims to raise awareness and build a supportive community by expanding our reach and continuing our mission of empowering youth by providing a platform for them to share their true stories.

AUDIENCE: The audience will be a mix of YC alums and friends, the Center for Fiction audience, and the general public. YC will also invite long-time and prospective funders.

PROGRAM: The length of the program will be 1.5 hours with a half hour for set up and an additional hour for strike and clean-up. The 1.5 hours of the program will include 1 hour for performances and 30 minutes for mingling and networking at the end.  

Food, alcoholic, and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided free of charge for first hour of the program.
