Women’s History Event Features the Brooklyn Women’s Exchange

St. Ann & the Holy Trinity Church will feature Martha Foley, archivist and historian for the Brooklyn Women’s Exchange, at its Women’s History Month event on Sunday, March 19, at 1:00 pm. Ms. Foley will be accompanied in conversation by members of the Brooklyn Women’s Exchange leadership. Entrance to the event is at 157 Montague Street, Brooklyn Heights.

Ms. Foley will talk about the Brooklyn Women’s Exchange, a volunteer-run operation that has supported local craftspeople, initially immigrant women and widows, since its founding in 1834. A  beloved neighborhood institution, the Exchange recently moved to Montague Street from its longtime location on Pierrepont Street and is enjoying new visibility and popularity.
