Whale Songs and Sea Lore Set Sail in Immersive Performance at Red Hook Barge, May 30, 8 PM

Step aboard the historic Lehigh Valley No. 79 barge in Red Hook for Into the Charmed Churned Circle, an immersive, multi-sensory performance that brings the sea’s mystery to life through classical music, choral singing, and dance. Presented by The Indeterminacy Festival, over 70 musicians and singers will guide audiences through a journey inspired by whale songs, Melville’s Moby-Dick, and David Grann’s The Wager.
Led by Brooklyn-born cellist and composer Stanzi Vaubel, this site-specific spectacle turns the barge’s weathered decks and industrial steel walls into a living, breathing stage—complete with the sound of the harbor and the scent of the sea. Tickets are available now, with limited seating aboard the floating venue.
