Bad Leather, the brainchild of DJ and musician Joe Vela, seamlessly blends infectious disco and electronica with soulful hip-hop and funk. Hailing from Philly and New York, Bad Leather’s distinct genre-fusing style transports audiences to a golden era while uniting the dance floor with an energy that captivates both intimate club settings and festival stages.

Having sold out the last six headline performances, this project has been embraced by club and dance lovers. In addition to direct-supporting Chromeo, Bob Moses, The Magician, Bon Entendeur, and The Comet Is Coming, Bad Leather has graced the bill of many renowned festivals including the Bonnaroo VIP Tent, Elements Festival, and Envision Festival in Costa Rica. Joe is also the drummer of Tweed and founder of Philly’s SENSORiUM, which has hosted more than 2,000 attendees for the former city music & arts festival.
