The Live Ones – a play in Fort Greene Park

The Motor Company (Lillian Meredith, Artistic Director; Caitlin Wells, Managing Director) invites you to experience ‘The Live Ones,’ a hybrid live/virtual performance project written by Anton Handel and directed by Lilian Meredith.

‘The Live Ones’ centers on a young woman named Elza, who aspires to notoriety in the developing virtual realm created by the ominous tech company Umericorn. This piece takes shape both virtually in videos and physically among the greenery of Fort Greene Park, embodying the tension between lives lived online and their reflections in physical reality, and explores what we sacrifice of ourselves to participate in new and exciting technology.

This show requires standing, as well as walking up hills and over uneven terrain.
