The Block: A Juneteenth Celebration is a joyful tribute to Black culinary heritage—part cookout, part cultural moment. Now in its fourth year, this vibrant gathering is led by three powerhouse chefs: Lana Lagomarsini (currently competing on Top Chef), Nana Araba Wilmot (featured in The Contemporary African Kitchen), and Deborah Jean (Sous Chef at Printemps by Gregory Gourdet). With more than 40 years of combined experience in Michelin-starred kitchens, these women are bringing serious culinary fire, and serious heart, to the table. Together, they’re throwing down an unforgettable buffet—rooted in the flavors of West Africa, the Caribbean, and the American South. Expect bold, soulful food made to feed a crowd and honor the culture. There will be a welcome cocktail courtesy of Summer Water, vinyl sets from DJ Mohogany, swag bags for the first 50 RSVP’s, featured cocktails by Ten To One, and a few special surprises just for guests. It’s an evening of food, music, and fellowship—meant to nourish the soul and honor the spirit of Juneteenth. Bonus: A portion of proceeds supports One Love Community Fridge.
