Star Wars Icons from 501st Legion to Lead Sutton Place Parks’ 5th Annual Halloween ‘Spooktacular’

Sutton Place Parks Conservancy (SPPC), will be hosting its family oriented Fifth Annual Spooktacular Halloween Celebration on Saturday, October 25th. Festivities will light up Sutton Place Parks from East 56th Street to East 57th Street from 2 to 4:30 PM. (Rain date is Sunday, Oct. 26, same time),

Festivities begin at 2 PM with a kids’ costume parade led off by Star Wars Icons from the 501^st Legion. Legion members will also take photos with the kids after the parade.

In the 3 PM hour, events include a magic show with The Great Charlini and arts and crafts with NY Preschool and Kids Club and the Senior Children’s Librarian at the 58^th Street branch of the New York Public Library.

The day’s festivities conclude at 4 PM with a “Pooches and Pups Costume Parade. All pets are welcome but must be on a leash no longer than six feet, as per NYC regulations. URVETCare and Biscuits & Bath will provide treats for parade participants.

The event takes place in picturesque East River parks decked out with fall horticulture and spectacular colors.
