Scott Cook and Joshua Garcia in Concert

Voices In the Heights presents Scott Cook and Joshua Garcia in a hybrid concert performance 7:30pm on Friday, October 21, 2022, at the Chapel of the First Unitarian Congregational Society in Brooklyn, 119 Pierrepont Street. In-Person and Streaming tickets are “pay what you will” at Voices in the Heights (voicesintheheights.org) or $20 at the door.

Scott Cook (scottcook.net) was a headliner at the Falcon Ridge Folk festival this summer and has toured across Canada, the US, Europe, Asia, Australia and elsewhere for over a decade, releasing seven albums of straight-talking folk and roots along the way.

Joshua Garcia (facebook.com/joshuagarciamusic) opened for Don McLean before taking a hiatus from performing to produce his first album. He is returning to Voices in the Heights for a rare live performance.

Voices in the Heights is an outgrowth of the Greenwich Village Showcase, which closed its doors when Café Vivaldi was forced to shut down in June 0f 2018. The series has presented more than 50 artists in monthly concerts since opening in 2018, providing audiences with the opportunity to hear singer-songwriters on the verge of wider recognition in an intimate setting.
