Science Saturday: FLOATING – THE SCIENCE OF BUOYANCY

Why do ships float? Density and buoyancy come alive with demonstrations and hands-on activities using a water tank. Students experiment with different solids and liquids for a concrete understanding of density.

Science Saturday Workshop prices include the workshop and museum admission for the participating student ($20 per student). All children must be accompanied by an adult. Adults must purchase admission upon entry ($15 per person). This is not a drop-off program, an adult must be present at all times. Science Saturday’s are free for members. Space is limited so advanced registration is suggested.
