Presidents Day Event

Join us on February 20th at Federal Hall National Memorial for a special event in honor of Presidents Day. Come see George Washington brought to life by Michael Grillo, an actor, who specializes in Historical reenactments.

George Washington was an American military officer, statesman, and Founding Father who served as the first president of the United States from 1789 to 1797. Here on Wall Street, George Washington took the oath of office as our first President, and this site was home to the first Congress, Supreme Court, and Executive Branch offices. The current structure, a Customs House, later served as part of the US Sub-Treasury. Now, the building serves as a museum and memorial to our first President and the beginnings of the United States of America.
