Park Slope Singers — Mass for the Endangered
Sarah Kirkland Snider’s Mass for the Endangered–a hymn, a plea, a prayer for creatures and their environment which are at risk, is ethereal, sumptuous, and at once both powerful and delicate. Nathaniel Bellows’ poetry is mingled with the traditional Latin of the Mass, and the musical interplay of chorus and orchestra gives the listener a work that, while begging for a change of mindset, at heart offers hope.
With the Musica Bella Orchestra. A reception follows the performance.
