Oct. 12 Bronx Toastmasters Club Meeting on Zoom

At our next meeting, we’ll be welcoming new members, and will show different ways people progress as public speakers. One is to show Toastmasters’ Pathways program which allows people to discover their specialties. There are 11 Pathways, which include Visionary Communication, Effective Coaching, and Engaging Humor.
We had our first in-person meeting on September 28 at the Riverdale Neighborhood House Everybody remembered to bring props like our Toastmasters podium and a stopwatch and lights for keeping time. The speeches were great– Dr. Frankie Graham-Brown welcome us to the live experience with a speech called “Welcome Back.” Dylan Cosgrove spoke about why traveling is great. Brenda Aiken-Thompson reprised her wonderful speech about work she’s doing for the 50th Anniversary of the Susan Smith McKinney Steward Medical Society for Women.
