Meet The Moment
Join The Meteor for Meet the Moment—a powerful day of ideas, inspiration, and intergenerational collaboration among some of the most influential women and nonbinary leaders of our time on Saturday, November 12th at the Brooklyn Museum. The Meteor is a collective of journalists, artists, and activists committed to gender and racial justice. Together we’ll take on issues such as voting rights, the climate crisis, abortion access, gender justice, and everything in between. From 11 am to 4 pm, the event will feature talks, performances, comedy, and interactive sessions so you can converse with iconic changemakers. From 4 to 6 pm, enjoy cocktails and live music in the Beaux-Arts Court.
Featured guests include Pulitzer Prize–winning journalists Jodi Kantor and Megan Twohey; #MeToo founder Tarana Burke; data journalist and writer Mona Chalabi; five-time Grammy Award winner Angélique Kidjo; and leaders in the movements supporting Iranian women, climate work, and reproductive rights. Stay tuned for additions to this all-star lineup.
Meet the Moment is presented by Pfizer. Community partners for the event include: the Athena Center for Leadership at Barnard College, which will engage students; @feminist, which will amplify the event for a global audience on Instagram Live; United State of Women, which will help attendees take action on what they learn; and the Civic Responsibility Project, which will encourage civic engagement amongst participants.
