Marina Tsvetaeva (1892–1941)—a fearless voice of exile, love, and resistance—comes alive in this unforgettable live jazz concert at the Sheepshead Bay Library on October 23rd at 6pm.

Acclaimed Russian-American saxophonist and composer Lena Bloch brings Tsvetaeva’s haunting poetry to life in an original jazz suite—rhythmic, emotional, and full of soul.

Performed by world-renowned NYC jazz artists:

  • Kyoko Kitamura – Avant-garde vocalist, improviser, and composer

  • Jacob Sacks – Thelonious Monk finalist pianist

  • Ken Filiano – Internationally acclaimed bassist

  • Michael Sarin – Renowned jazz drummer

Experience the legendary poet through sound—where verse meets rhythm, and resistance becomes music.

“My poems are my passport, they carry me across the world.”

— Marina Tsvetaeva
