James(Zijian) Wei: 2024 Cleveland International Piano Competition Winner
James (Zijian) Wei is the 2024 Mixon First Prize winner of the Cleveland International Piano Competition and the third prize winner of the 76th Geneva International Music Competition (Piano). His virtuosity and strong commitment to Chinese music have earned him numerous honors in his native China. In his Carnegie Hall debut, Wei explores the theme of wanderlust through music by Mozart, Beethoven, Scriabin, Barber, Strauss, and Ravel, spanning centuries, continents, and genres.
