Häagen-Dazs® Shops first-ever Brooklyn location is celebrating its recent reopening of the reimagined space showcasing a new visual identity on Saturday, April 27. Founded by creative immigrant visionaries, Rose and Reuben Mattus, their daughter Doris opened the shop in 1976 introducing Brooklynites to their delicious, velvety ice cream in every hand-pulled scoop.

To celebrate the momentous occasion, the shop is hosting an open to the public event to honor the founders, the number of years this shop has been open, and Brooklyn at large. From 2-5PM, the shop will be giving out free cups and cones to the first 500 guests as well as prizes for the opportunity to win free ice cream for a year. Guests will also have the chance to take the experience to the next level with a take-home poem from a local typewriter poet.

120 Montague Street
