GRIOT Circle 29th Anniversary Celebration & Reception

Celebrate “A Legacy of Love: 29 Years of Community and Connection” as GRIOT Circle honors LGBTQ+ elders of color and the programs that combat isolation and support health, connection, and security. For nearly three decades, GRIOT Circle has been a vital home and resource for LGBTQ+ older adults of color, fostering belonging and resilience through community-based care and cultural programming.

Honorees:
Council Member Crystal Hudson
• Imani Rashid, Founder, The Yoruba Cultural Center of New York
Kenrick Ross and the Brooklyn Community Pride Center

Featured Performance: Lavender Light Gospel Choir, New York City’s first and only LGBTQ+ gospel choir.

Highlights: Live performances, food, and signature drinks, plus opportunities to support GRIOT Circle’s work with elders.
