Data Through Design (DxD) is pleased to announce the opening of Aftermath:
a public exhibition of nine data-driven, interdisciplinary art projects.
The opening reception will be Friday, March 15 starting at 6:30 pm with (free) tickets available through event registration. The exhibition will be presented by BRIC in Brooklyn, NY, and open to the public: Saturday, March 16 – Sunday, March 24, 12:00 – 7:00 pm.

Each year, the Data Through Design (DxD) collective organizes an exhibition featuring artists who creatively analyze, interpret, and interrogate data available in the NYC Open Data portal. This year, our exhibition theme Aftermath invites artists to explore how data can reflect (and not reflect) our lived aftermaths and to interpret the idea of aftermath through data in the form of nine interdisciplinary artworks. The Aftermath exhibition is presented as part of NYC Open Data Week 2024.

Exhibiting artists and projects:

  • Saralee Sittigaroon + Ziyu Zhang:  NYC Clock
  • Raphaël Laude:  Parcel ATM
  • Helmuth Rosales:  Emissions of a Real Fantasy: The Aftermath of Fresh Kills
  • Sophie Westen Chien:  Soil on the Move
  • Tatiana Kalainoff:  Rezoning: At What Cost?
