Custom House Open for Guided Tours Friday-Sunday through October

The historic Sag Harbor Custom House is open for guided and self-guided tours every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 12:00 PM to 4 PM. Register for tours in advance online at: preservationlongisland.org

A property of Preservation Long Island, the Custom House was the home of Sag Harbor’s first United States Custom Master, Henry Packer Dering and his family.

The activities of Dering, his wife, and nine children are vividly portrayed in room settings and interpretive exhibits. Guided tours bring to life the bustling history of this seafaring community and the Derings’ place in it.
