connect→collide→collab is a cross‑disciplinary matchmaking & gathering event for multimedia creators — visual artists, sound artists, performers, coders, designers, writers, curators, and those in between definitions.

​It’s not a marketplace or a polished showcase.

​It’s a space for sharing rough ideas, making friends, swapping skills, and finding collaborators—without the pressure of perfection.

​As a platform for change-provoking artists and designers, UAAD has hosted over a dozen showcases—online and IRL in NYC. But we’ve realized that featuring finished work isn’t enough. What we need is space for the messy middle: the questions, the trials, the in-progress.

​We’re not meant to create in isolation.

​We want to connect, collide, and collab—

​to spark something that none of us could arrive at alone.

​Join us for a few hours of open exchange and creative matchmaking:

​✹ 3:00–3:15 PM — Welcome + Brief introduction

​Brief intro by hosts, followed by a quick go-around: name, pronouns, and your current vibe.

​✹ 3:15–4:00 PM — Informal Workshare

​Participants can share in-progress projects (up to 3 minutes each). You’ll get to see what others are brewing—no polish needed.

​✹ 4:00–4:30 PM — Open Mic

​Didn’t sign up to share? No problem. Just call out what you’re looking for—or what you might offer.

​✨ There may be a birthday celebration for the May babes in the mix…

​✹ 4:30–6:00 PM — Collaborative Mixer + Portrait Studio

​You’ll get colored stickers representing different skillsets—visual art, design, creative tech, music/sound, writing, performance, video/film, curation, etc.—to help spark low-pressure connections.

​📸 And don’t miss the Portrait Studio Corner — a chance to get a striking shot of yourself in a professional photo production space. Come camera-ready, or just roll in as you are!
