Rigged

Thought you knew something about voter suppression and gerrymandering? Think again.

Join the Center for Law and Social Justice for a feature presentation of “Rigged: The Voter Suppression Playbook.” As we fight our own battles here in New York to ensure access to the polls, we invite you to join fellow activists, voters, and legislators for this screening and discussion.

In this critical presidential election season, it is timely to watch this award-winning documentary. Narrated by Jeffery Wright, Rigged chronicles how the right to vote is being systematically undermined through a decade of dirty tricks, including partisan gerrymandering, voter purges, and the gutting of the Voting Rights Act by the Supreme Court in 2013.

BK Reader is the official Media Sponsor for this event. We are proud to partner with the United Political Association, Assemblywoman Stefani Zinerman, and Councilwoman Crystal Hudson.
