The Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition (BWAC) is presenting four seasonal exhibits at the BWAC Gallery in Red Hook from October 28 to November 19, 2023. On view are: Amor Eterno, A Day of the Dead altar and exhibit; Raices (meaning Roots), a national juried exhibition that celebrates Latinx and Hispanic culture; Red Yellow Orange, a fall BWAC member show; and select art from the Brooklyn Watercolor Society. Separate descriptions of each show

Amor Eterno: Paying homage to the Mexican and Aztec tradition of Day of the Dead, Amor Eterno combines a community altar with artwork celebrating Latinx and Hispanic heritage, to capture the reality of death and the celebration of life in a vibrant art exhibit.

Raices: Raices (Roots), is a festive presentation of more than 300 artworks representing the many artistic and cultural traditions of Hispanic, Caribbean and Latin American nations.

Red, Yellow Orange: BWAC artists have taken the history and culture implied by the color’s red, yellow and orange to heart to present artworks that are both familiar and explorative; exciting and challenging. Red Yellow Orange questions expectations for a truly personal experience.

Brooklyn Watercolor Society: Select works of the Brooklyn Watercolor Society display the veritable gamut of the techniques of watercolor painting by Brooklyn’s best watercolor artists.
