Book Discussion Group 3

Step into the world of Libertie for an engaging book discussion! This month, we’re diving into Libertie, a compelling tale of a free-born Black girl navigating Reconstruction-era Brooklyn.

Libertie Sampson’s life is shaped by her mother’s vision—a future where she, too, becomes a physician, practicing side by side. Yet, as she grapples with the true essence of freedom for a Black woman, Libertie embarks on a quest to uncover it for herself and for the legacy that follows.
