BOMB’s Small Press Flea Returns in 2025

BOMB’s Small Press Flea returns for another year with a lineup of incredible vendors.

August 16, 2025 – BROOKLYN, NEW YORK

BOMB is thrilled to present the return of the Small Press Flea (SPF), an all-day market dedicated to supporting independent publishers and small presses across the US. This year, SPF will return to Amant, a contemporary art center in East Williamsburg. 

Join us on Saturday, August 16, from 1 PM to 9 PM, where publishers and artmakers will showcase and sell their books, zines, and related literary merchandise. Don’t miss this opportunity to explore and celebrate the vibrant world of independent publishing!

BOMB’s inaugural Small Press Flea was first held in the backyard at Unnameable Books in 2013 with twelve publishers. Since then, SPF has grown into a roster that now boasts over thirty independent publishers and presses and over 2,000 visitors. Publishers have found SPF an important place to sell a range of zines, indie books, and prints in an atmosphere that has been described as offering “space and time to interact individually with visitors” and “to share in thoughtful conversation.”

Situated on the Amant campus, the Small Press Flea will feature local food vendors as well as Copenhagen-based artist Esben Weile Kjær SHELL exhibition at the center of press booths.  Kjær’s 37-by-20-foot faux-concrete interactive structure playfully scales up the fantasy of a miniature castle while retaining the benign appeal of a toy. 

This year, we will be introducing a new night market! As the sun goes down, we plan to extend the festivities with a DJ and more delicious food and cocktails — the first drink’s on BOMB!
