8th annual Sideshow Hootenanny

The 8th annual Sideshow Hootenanny will take place April 4-7, 2024 at Coney Island USA and House of Yes. This festival features sword swallowers, contortionists, magicians, jugglers, human blockheads, broken glass walkers and more

Each show features different performers presenting classic sideshow stunts like fire breathing and straight jacket escapes, as well as new acts like sword swallowing while dangling from the air and the swinging bed of nails!  The festival highlights local Brooklyn performers like Coney Island’s Hot Fix Sideshow as well as out of town performers such as New Orleans’s Loud Mime, Maryland’s London St. Juniper and Canada’s Mysterion. The weekend will also honor sideshow legend and international stunt performer Harley Newman!

In addition to four nights of incredible performances there will be daytime workshops where attendees can learn fire eating and aerial skills, as well as a vendor market featuring tattoo artists, tarot readers, jewelry merchants, and a kitten adoption event.

Pricing: $30 – $40 for single nights and $125 for the entire festival

Venues in Brooklyn will be House of Yes and Coney Island USA’s Sideshows by the Seashore Theater.

The Sideshow Hootenanny is the only large-scale gathering of sideshow performers, producers, and fans currently happening in the United States. It takes place every year in late winter to offer sideshow performers a break from dark, frigid days, as well as to give performers a chance to brush up on their skills and dust off and polish new acts before the start of touring season.
